Certified proof of origin

TÜV NORD CERT has now awarded products from the family company Heinz Soyer Bolzenschweißtechnik GmbH from Wörthsee-Etterschlag the certified proof of origin "Made in Germany". The test mark confirms that articles have been produced in a particular country of origin. The certificate was presented by TÜV NORD CERT Chief Executive Ulf Theike to Heinz Soyer, the founder and President of Soyer Bolzenschweißtechnik GmbH, during an award ceremony.

The declaration "Made in Germany“ was originally intended to warn customers in Great Britain and the USA against lower-quality products from the German Empire in the nineteenth century. However, things worked out rather differently than expected - over time "Made in Germany" developed into a distinguishing mark for ever-improving German goods; with a corresponding effect on the market success of these products. In times of increasing globalisation it is more and more difficult for customers to know where a product or product components were manufactured.

This is where TÜV NORD certification "Made in…" - which can be used in both Germany and abroad - has an important part to play. In order to achieve certification, at least 50 per cent of components within a product must have been made in the certified country of origin. In addition, a manufacturer must be able to prove that his product fulfils the relevant requirements as regards product safety and quality. 

And this is the case with Heinz Soyer Bolzenschweißtechnik GmbH, which has been selling high-quality products from Germany all over the world for four decades. The quality management system of the company and its environmental management are certified according to the respective standards and almost all products in volume production bear the GS mark.  Both inside the company and as regards the outside world, Soyer Bolzenschweißtechnik embodies a defined philosophy, which includes the objective of sustainably strengthening the products' country of manufacture. In addition, the company is proven to be committed to the creation and maintenance of workplaces in Germany. 

As Ulf Theike, Chief Executive of TÜV NORD CERT explains: "A decision to purchase is triggered by various characteristics, for example safety, service, environmental compatibility or origin. The certified proof of origin "Made in Germany" creates transparency and ensures that customers and consumers have the information they need in order to make the decision that is right for them. At the same time, the certificate stands for fulfilment of standards and legal compliance and guarantees that quality and safety are of the required standard. This means that both manufacturers and purchasers of certified products benefit from the "Made in ..." mark.
